Silke is a wonderful Yoga teacher who provides great classes in Hatha and Yin Yoga. With her experience she’s able to give instructions to suit all levels of abilities. My favourite aspect of each session is the beautiful sound of the singing bowls that she plays throughout the class. It helps me to relax and to meditate.

I always feel safe and well guided in your classes. You offer clear options and encourage people to listen to their own bodies, which makes it easy to work at the right level on any given day. I never feel pressured to push beyond what feels right, and I’m very comfortable pausing or doing something different if I need to.
Physically, I’ve noticed that I’m definitely more flexible and balanced, and I feel stronger overall. My body awareness has improved a lot, and I’m much more tuned in to what I need rather than what I think I should be doing. My breathing feels deeper and calmer, and that carries through into daily life.
Mentally and emotionally, I leave sessions feeling more settled, grounded, and clear-headed. I’m better at being still and present, and I’ve noticed a positive flow-on effect into sleep and general wellbeing.
What keeps me coming back is the calm, space you create and the well balanced classes that have variety. Your teaching feels supportive, and adaptable to any level of ability, which makes yoga feel accessible and not intimidating or awkward.
I’d happily recommend your classes to anyone who’s unsure about starting yoga — especially if they think they’re “not flexible enough” or worry about keeping up. I moved out to Hawkes Bay at the end of last year and started immediately searching for yoga classes in Hastings, with not so much initial success. I feel so very fortunate that at the beginning of this year I came across Silke’s classes, which were just starting up. I go regularly to the Hatha classes and really, really enjoy them. They are suitable for all levels and I get sooo much from each class I do, leaving feeling very calm, centered, and ready to face what the day (and kids!!) will throw my way! The use of essential oils is just lovely, and I’ve never been disappointed by any of the workshops I’ve done with Silke. If you haven’t yet, go along! I bet you won’t leave disappointed!

I love Silke’s yoga classes! Whether you are totally new to yoga or experienced you will benefit from her instruction. Yin yoga is sooo relaxing – that’s what I’d start with if I were a newbie. It is not too hard and you can float your cares away. Hatha yoga is a little bit more challenging, but Silke is soo good at reminding you not to do anything that feels wrong or sore and she is also very good at explaining each move. I had the honor of being Silke first client in her beautiful new space. I felt welcomed and at home straight away. Silke has a very gentle and grounding energy about her. The combination of the 3 healing modalities is so amazing… Reiki, Sound Healing & Aromatherapy 💞🌈🍃.
My 1.5hr session was so nourishing, I floated out. The vibrations of the bowls on and around my body, the beautiful fragrance of the essential oils and of course the reiki energy thru Silke was so nurturing and healing….. I highly recommend this magical experience Silke has created.
I also received an oil blend, which Silke intuitively created, I love applying this as part of my daily self care routine. The itovi scan for what oils my body needs at this time is so helpful as well…. I left with my chakras aligned and feeling balanced and blissful….the ongoing benefits afterwards are noticeable as well…I have more clarity around my intention I set on arrival to my session.
