Useful recipes to make your own body care products using doTERRA essential oils

Immune Bomb Roller bottle 10 ml

20 drops On Guard

20 drops Lemon

10 drops Frankincense

10 drops Oregano

5 drops Melaleuca (Tea Tree)

Above recipe is for adults, for older children half the amount for 10 ml roller bottle.

Put essential oils in roller bottle and top with carrier oil

 

Natural Hand Sanitiser in Spray bottle, 100 ml bottle

1 tablespoon aloe vera gel

20 drops On Guard

Water

Combine aloe vera & essential oil in spray bottle and top up with water

To use spray on hands and rub together

 

Lip Balm

20 g organic beeswax

30 g organic coconut oil

4 drops of one or more essential oils

Melt was in bowl over hot steam. Once melted add base oil.

Add drops of essential oils in fill into lipbalm tins.

 

Detox Bath salt

1 cup Epsom salt

2 drops Frankincense

2 drops Lavender

2 drops Clary Sage

(maybe 1 tbs dried organic flowers)

Recommendation is to use ¼ cup in bath at the time

Rule of thumb 1 cup Epsom salt to every 6 drops of oils

 

Romance 10 ml roller bottle

1 drop cinnamon

4 drops Ylang Ylang

4 drops Clary sage

4 drops Geranium

4 drops Patchouli

Drop essential oils in rollerbottle and top with carrier oil

 

Flavoured Salts

Asian Fusion: 1 tbsp Salt, 2 drops Ginger, 2 drops Lemongrass, 2 drops Basil

Provence Seasoning: 2 tbsp Salt, 2 drops Basil, 1 drop Thyme, 1 drop Majoram, 1 drop Rosemary, 1 drop Lavender, 1 drop Fennel

 

Cold Sore Blend in 1 ml sample bottle (just dab on coldsore with cottonbud)

10 drops Lemon

10 drops Lavender

5 drops Tea Tree

3 drops Oregano

 

Sleep roller bottle for adults 10 ml

10 drops Lavender

5 drops Vetiver

5 drops Frankincense

5 drops Ylang Ylang

3 drops Cedarwood

3 drops Wild Orange

 

Roller bottle for stress / anxiety, 10 ml

15 drops Bergamot

10 drops Geranium

6 drops Lavender

2 drops Orange

 

Fizzing bath bomb

1 cup citric acid

1 cup baking soda

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup coconut oil

8–10 drops favorite essential oil

 

Tip: You could also use almond oil or olive oil in the place of Coconut Oil.

Instructions

In bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil.

Add eight to 10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice.

Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand.
Note: If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct.

At this point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to mixture.

Place mixture in silicone molds. Let sit 24 hours before removing from mold.

To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.

Note: Choose an essential oil to best suit your needs. For relaxation, try Lavender or doTERRA Serenity®. For a mood boost, try Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss®, or Peppermint.

Bath bombs are excellent gifts for both adults and children. When making for kids, try adding some color to the mixture. Not only will they love that the water changes colors, but will also love the fizz from the bath bomb

 

Soothing Salve

A good salve can be the base to many amazing recipes. Similar to the texture of petroleum jelly, you can customize this salve with essential oils to meet your needs. Add doTERRA Breathe® to help maintain feelings of clear airways, doTERRA Serenity® or Lavender to help you rest better, or Citrus Bliss® for an invigorating moisturizer. The options are endless!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup grapeseed oil

1/2 cup almond oil

2 tablespoons beeswax

1/2 tablespoon vitamin E oil

5 drops Lavender, Cypress, Melaleuca, Frankincense, and Eucalyptus essential oils

Directions:

Melt beeswax in double boiler.

Once melted, add grapeseed, almond, and vitamin E oil until melted.

Once combined, set aside for 2-3 minutes.

Add essential oils and stir.

Pour in container and allow to set for 2 hours.

To use, apply to skin or on chest.
